What does a TikTok Shop affiliate agency do?

A TikTok Shop affiliate agency builds and runs the creator side of a shop: recruiting creators who promote products for commission, briefing them so videos convert, shipping samples, tracking who performs, and re-activating the winners. The brand supplies product and margin; the agency supplies the creator machine and the follow-through.

That is the difference between a shop with a handful of sporadic posts and a shop with dozens of creators posting every week. On TikTok Shop, affiliate volume is usually the single biggest driver of GMV.

Aventra Media runs TikTok Shop affiliate programs for the US market as an official TikTok Shop Partner (TSP, US) and TikTok One Partner. It recruits from a roster of 250+ vetted US creators its team works with directly, and its team has shipped 15,000+ creator samples. Brands can be headquartered anywhere; the shop being promoted is a US TikTok Shop.

The build

How an affiliate program is built.

Six steps in order. Each one feeds the next, and the chain breaks wherever nobody is running it daily. The long version is in how a TikTok Shop affiliate program actually works.

01
Set the commission
Before a single creator is contacted. Work back from landed cost, shipping and the return rate you already see, to a floor you can hold for a full quarter. Moving the rate later disturbs the creators already posting.
02
Configure collaborations
In Affiliate Center: open collaboration on with approval required, target collaboration rates set above the open rate for named creators, Sample Requests on manual approval.
03
Recruit and vet
Category fit before follower count, the last thirty days of posting rather than the profile total, prior Shop history, comment quality. Vetting decides how many samples become videos. Invite volume does not.
04
Brief and dispatch
A hook direction, the claims that are safe to make, and what must not be said. No read-out script. Samples ship fast: the longer the gap between acceptance and arrival, the lower the chance of a post.
05
Chase
A defined cadence beats improvisation. A check on delivery day, a light nudge a few days later, one more before the sample is written off. This is where programs stall around week three.
06
Amplify the winners
Attributed orders show which creators actually sell. Converters get restocked and an individual target collaboration rate, and their best post goes behind Spark Ads or GMV Max.

Why do brands outsource TikTok Shop affiliate management?

Running affiliates yourself means hundreds of creator DMs, samples shipped into the void, and no clear picture of who actually sells. It is a full-time operations job with a long ramp. We already have the network and the process, so the ramp is measured in weeks rather than months.

Our team has shipped 15,000+ samples to creators and driven $1M+ in TikTok Shop GMV running programs like this. The mechanics, and why volume beats precision here, are covered in Sample seeding is a numbers game.

Who decides what, once the program is running?

Nothing in the left column is ours to change. Everything in the right column is ours to run.

How do affiliates fit with UGC, ads and shop management?

Affiliates are one part of a working shop. We also run full TikTok Shop management (setup, listings, promotions), produce the UGC content that feeds both organic and paid, and run GMV Max and Spark Ads behind whatever wins. As an official TikTok One Partner, that work runs inside TikTok's own creator ecosystem.

Questions

Affiliate program questions, answered

How many creators will post?

It depends on product, commission, and category heat, so we do not promise a number up front. What we control is throughput: recruiting continuously, briefing properly, and chasing samples so a high share of shipments turn into posts.

Who pays the creators?

Creators earn commission on the sales they drive through TikTok Shop's affiliate system, so their upside comes out of sales rather than a flat fee. Sample cost and program management are the brand's cost.

Do we need to send free samples?

In practice, yes. Sample seeding is the cheapest reliable way to get creators posting about a product, and it works at volume rather than in small batches.

Can you work with our existing affiliates?

Yes. We fold your current creators into the program, then expand from our roster where there are gaps in niche, market, or performance.

Which categories do you cover?

Beauty and personal care, home and kitchen, health and wellness, tech accessories, toys, fashion, fitness, and pet supplies, for the US TikTok Shop, whatever country your brand is registered in.

What is the difference between open and target collaboration?

Open collaboration is passive. Creators find your product in Affiliate Center and take the public commission rate, and you can require approval before they do. Target collaboration is an invitation to named creators at a rate set individually, usually above the open rate. Open collaboration is a floor for discovery. Target collaboration is where the deliberate work sits, and it lets you pay a proven creator more without moving the public number.

Are you a TikTok Affiliate Partner (TAP) or a Creator Agency Partner (CAP)?

Neither. We hold TikTok Shop Partner (TSP) status for the US market and are an official TikTok One Partner. We are not a TikTok Shop Affiliate Partner (TAP), not a Creator Agency Partner (CAP), and not a TikTok Marketing Partner. Partner Campaigns and the Creator Matchmaking tool belong to TAPs, so they are not ours to run. Our affiliate work happens inside your own Affiliate Center under TSP authorization.

What access do you need to run the program?

The Affiliate Center grant on your Seller Center account. Seller affiliate Management is one of the four US TSP service categories TikTok lists, covering products, commissions, open collaborations and seller campaigns. Authorization is scoped, runs for up to one year, and you can revoke it at any time. The seller account stays yours; access lets us act on it, not own it.

Commercials

How engagements
are structured.

We do not publish a rate card, because scope genuinely changes the number. We do publish the structures, so you know what you are choosing between before you email.

01
Project fee
Flat fee for a defined content package. Suits brands that need creative volume and already run their own shop or ads.
02
Retainer
Monthly fee for ongoing management. Suits shop operations and always-on creator programs, with scope written into the SOW.
03
Performance
Retainer plus performance component tied to agreed metrics. Suits programs where both sides want incentives on outcomes.

What moves the number: monthly content volume, whether shop operations are in scope, whether paid media is managed, how many languages the content runs in, and sample volume. Tell us those five things and you get a structure and a number back, not a discovery-call sequence.
